I’m very sorry to hear from Tim Wells about the very sad passing of Ian Saunders. We flew together many times & Ian was great fun to be with. I offer my deepest sympathies & since condolences to his immediate family RIP. Tim Pembrey

  2. Alastair Stuart Says:

Thank you for this sad news.

As a navigator I flew with Ian quite a few times but I got to know him better while on various expedition training (skiing) detachments with the RAF Lyneham ski team. He was quite a character and a very good skier who might even have been part of the RAF ski squad for a time; RIP Ian.

    Al Stuart (24 Sqn 1972-75).
